Stage was well decorated with lots of flashy lights, white lights and spot lights to spot the dancers (like me) hehehehehe. I don’t remember what I was thinking staring at stage, my master came and gave me a motivational talk. He said, don’t worry dude, I will be controlling the flash lights and said, I know you’ll do your best but unfortunately if something goes wrong like if I forget the steps then just move your body and I will on the flashy lights so the audience will not notice if something is wrong. My master is so sweeeet na. I felt a bit relaxed after listening to the talk.
I was practicing dance in the background and time was passing and the function hall was getting filled with the audience and as it was filling my tension was mounting up and up. Still I managed to be cool and relaxed as I was now a bit confident on my performance as my hands and legs started synchronizing while dancing. Don’t get surprised, it automatically happens when you practice a lot. :)
Function started. Performances started one by one and my turn was heading and my tension was mounting up and up. Finally my name was announced and I just started praying and left to perform.
You know what ppl??? When I stood in front of audience on stage who were around thousand in number (approximately) my hands and legs said we are not going to move. . I was just staring at my master who was sitting in front. He just murmured those three numbers and that magical word 1, 2, 3 and start. I just closed my eyes and thought as if I was in the practice room and started ROCKING.
AND FINALLY I HAD GIVEN MY BEST AND GOT MANY COMPLIMENTS WHICH I DESERVED (HAHAHAHAHA) AND MY COUSIN WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH MY PERFORMANCE.
I was very happy at the end of the day for my performance. Even I felt proud when I watched the video of my performance, It was just mind blowing :P.
That’s how I developed interest in dance and thought of joining dance classes as soon as possible. But you know, nothing happens before the time comes. I have joined dance classes in Sang Manch Dance Academy on 18th May 2007 and started ROCKING.
Hope you enjoyed reading the short story. Please leave some comments if you feel like.

Tough time started from the day when I started practicing dance. I learnt it’s very easy to comment others, but very difficult to do the same. I appreciate my master for his patience as I feel if I was in his place I would have scolded him thousand times a day, hehehehe. There were only 3 days/nights to work for the F-Day.
On the first day of practice, I was like a dumbo jumbo moving hands/legs as if I am doing aerobics, not dance. It was very tough time when my master was telling me to move hands and legs together which was very tough. :(. I was depressed and felt nervous by my performance. You know what??? It was like ……… Arey Can’t say yaar… But it s****. On that day, I thought It really SU*** dancing.
After practicing hard, I got rhythm of dance from next day. Now I was feeling much better and started thinking its “OK” if I do in this way and was a bit satisfied and felt happy. You know what???? What was in my mind those days… Only three numbers and one word.
“1”, “2”, ”3”, “START” .. which my master used while practicing.
After lot of hard work, it’s the final day to perform. I was tensed; I went to the function hall and had a look at the stage where I am going to dance. Isn’t it too much? I was thinking, what is this? Is it “ME” or anyone else going to dance here? Ufffff, and felt nervous. I was standing in front of stage.
